Thanks to FraMeSToR for the HDR REMUX, NCmt for the scripts, and TEPES for the Webdl!

Experimental proof of concept. This is a 2160p REMUX with DV metadata parsed in from the Webdl. Will fallback to HDR on devices not compatible with Dolby Vision. Please share any thoughts with me :) Enjoy!

SCREENSHOTS

The subtitles have the following format PGS (Blu-Ray) / .sup that are
merged with the video and audio.

RELEASE NOTES
Disc was fully supported by latest eac3to for creating the .h265 stream!
Since the UHD didn't come with commentary audio and we didn't get the regular BD due
to a misunderstanding, I added the commentary audio from the MTeam encode (same specs
as the one on BD) - so it's only missing the commentary subs from regular Blu-ray!

    Wish come true!

I really hope we’ll get the same treatment with the whole Infinity Saga.

  2. John says:

links are dead. can you re-upload please?

  3. TheBatman says:

Hello, can you also add the 1080p HDR version to the post? Much appreciated. Thanks

  4. Than Os says:

So DV did not get triggered on my LG 2017 OLED via the LG player or the Nvidia Shield Pro 2019. In both instances it just showed HDR.

    • Kit says:

Same here. TV is the LG model number OLED77CXPUA. I know it’s DV capable since I bought just because of this site. lol And I just got a Shield TV Pro because of some things not activating DV on the TV and sometimes only the commentary audio track would play with some REMUXES. All the most recent Indiana Jones movies fell back to HDR on the TV itself. Haven’t tried them on the Shield.

      • Than Os says:

You need one of the newer modified Kodi builds to play DV on the Shield Pro. Fandangos on the Kodi forums has a modified Matrix version that plays DV without a lot of hiccups. Indi Jones DV is triggered via this modified Kodi 19 version on the Shield Pro.

      • Jay says:

Have that same TV and a Shield Pro, DV kicks in just fine using Plex.

I always get my hopes up thinking it’s the IMAX release that we’re never gonna see….

  8. NICOTHERE says:

Thank you for this reupload! The last upload, Thanos snahped it to ashes!

  9. edmund says:

Would you kindly upload a 1080p UHD encode as well if you can? Thx..

    • That Guy says:

      1080p UHD?
Are you going to eat jumbo shrimp while you watch it?

      • edmund says:

1080p UHD is basically a short term for 1080p encodes with HDR coming from a 4K HDR source except it’s encoded into a smaller resolution. I’m not an expert but probably if you haven’t heard of it, here’s an example: Jason Bourne 2016 1080p UHD BluRay DD+7.1 HDR x265-CtrlHD (https://snahp.it/jason-bourne-2016-1080p-uhd-bluray-dd7-1-hdr-x265-ctrlhd/) and go check it yourself if you still don’t believe it. Have a good day!

        • That Guy says:

So people are abusing the UHD title, got it.
UHD means a minimal resolution of 3840×2160 or as marketing would put it 4K, and it may or may not have HDR etc.
So the release you are looking for uses the UHD as source but encodes it down to 1080p as opposed to just using the regular BD as a source.
But it’s still x264 and SDR?
          Interesting.
If it looks better then I guess that’s awesome.
These films have 2K DIs anyway so there just upscaled.
So the only real advantage of the UHD is HDR and better codec.
A RAW 2K source being upscaled and encoded with H265 will have more detail than that same source being encoded at the same resolution with H264.
HDR is totally separate and there’s nothing stopping anyone from doing 2K HDR.
So if these UHD downscaled encodes look better than those using the BD as source it’s really just showing a better encode IMHO.

Would love to hear the results of the experiment. If it works out, it’d be cool to see if the same if possible for WB releases in HDR + HBO Max Dolby Vision metadata (for the small number of releases)

  11. That Guy says:

Disney’s implementation of HDR and Dolby Vision on their Disney+ streaming service is very suspect.
Hopefully this method provides something of value.

  12. Org says:

I was wondering if this was possible, ever since I saw Disney supporting Dolby Vision only in Disney+ but not the 4k Bluray’s. Thankfully there are geniuses out there that make the magic happen.

  13. Than Os says:

This looks promising. Thanks! Hope we see Infinity War in DV in this same fashion.
