Possible to have a x265 encode of this?

  2. Private says:

Any chance for an encode version of this? 🙂

    • DAHAKA says:

I don’t post SWTYBLZ encodes. they sacrifice quality for quick encodes.
I’ll post an encode from reliable encoders whenever there’s one available.

      • Private says:

Never notice with some of their releases. But good to know.
s there any genuine info about this online? Discussion, comparisons?

I can only find two main opinions about them:
        – That they use scene settings like crf17 (didn’t verify).
        – Or like FGT are not taken serious in the scene because of corners cut in encoding…

I only seen webrips from SWTYBLZ from you (which isn’t an encode so different) But I do see FGT encodes from you. Like:

No judgement. I just want to be informed.

Thanks! And I’ll wait for an acceptable release 🙂

        • DAHAKA says:

all their encodes are done by bots and using pre-set settings, they don’t do a quality-check after encode.
a good encode should use different settings for different movies, it should be done by humans, not bots. and finally they should check the quality of their encodes.

here’s a NFO from a reputed encoder on p2p, look how careful they are with details:

scene groups use pre-set settings as well, but at least they do check their releases and if there is something wrong with it they’d nuke it, and the encoder has to release a proper version.

and also about 4k WEB-DLs from SWTYBLZ: just like FGT, they also steal releases from other groups and rename it to their own name.

I don’t post releases from these two groups, unless there is no other release available at the time, or for some reason I don’t have other choice but FGT and SWTYBLZ.

          • Kali says:

Does that mean P2P is better than scene? Why are they separate? Is there disagreement between them such as rules or do they just dislike other?

I looked over the releases I have downloaded and most of them are P2P. Wow, I thought everything came from scene.

            (sorry for hijacking this discussion)

          • DAHAKA says:

            No, being a p2p encoder doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a good encode.
for example EVO’s bluray encodes are not good and their releases are banned on most of high-end trackers.

about p2p and scene and their history better look it up on Google, it’s a long story.

          • Private says:

Thanks for taking the time to clarify 🙂

            Now the waiting begins 😉

  3. anon says:

how does this compare to the DV version?

  4. John says:

The last few releases of HDR movies play in a green and pruple tint in all my players/programs. Has anyone else experienced this issue and resolved it?

    • DAHAKA says:

may I ask which releases did you download (full name of release) and what players do you use?

    • Kaar says:

You downloaded the DV (=Dolby Vision) (which will be shown in red on the download link text). For HDR TVs download the HDR (which will also be shown in the colour red on the download link or download title). For
4K TVs without HDR download the link/title with no RED/ GREEN/ BLUE marked text (as long as you don’t know what the marked text means).

      • RKing says:

The native Windows “Movies & TV” app will play DV correctly.

        • dunkey says:

You do need the Dolby Vision Extension from the Microsoft Store though. It’s free but needs to be installed on some devices.

      • John says:

Thanks. This looks to be spot on. The DV rips don’t play on any hardware, apps, PCs, players, programs or displays I own. OLED screens, HDR projector, SDR LCD etc.
I’ve found several posts about this online, but no one has any solutions.
I guess the only solution right now is to stick to HDR and SDR.

        Is there a recommended setup?
I’ve also used the Film & TV Microsoft app as suggested. All exhibit the same color distortions.
This is the closest example I can find, which is how it looks on all my dsiplays.

        • TheREMUXER says:

This is my setup to play DV mkv/mp4 files with lossless audio flawlessly:

External USB 3.0 Drive -> Nvidia Shield TV Pro (2019) -> Kodi Matrix 19 FINAL app -> Marantz AVR which supports 4K/DV/Atmos -> LG OLED (GX). All HDMI connections via active fiber optic HDMI cables.

Every single DV Remux plays without a problem.

        • Baddy James says:

I am not sure of the RIPs of movies. But I played Dolby Vision videos in my Sony X950G with MXPlayer app. VLC or built-in apps don’t play in correctly. Try with MXPlayer.
