Hello ! DAHAKA , would you be so kind to tell, are there any x264 / H264 versions in 4k exist ?
I’m just not sure why h265 is so popularized , I mean how do you play it ? I have a pretty decent CPU and it’s up to 70-80% load during the playback , choppy , unwatchable. I have GTX980 and it doesn’t support HEVC decoding. I mean like , do you all have the newest GPUs ? Anyway , I’m pretty sure there’s a huge amount of people with previous gens of videocards ,
so 2160p H264 would be nice ! Thanks.

    • DAHAKA says:

there is no h264 for this movie, actually 99% of 4k content are h265/x265.
h264 4k files would result in very big sizes and it’s not efficient to use, also h264 doesn’t support HDR.
sooner or later everyone will get a newer GPU, I mean that’s how technology works…

      • Amna says:

I know about HDR , but this one is actually SDR , so makes no sense for h265.
I’ve watched 4K TV show GLOW in x264 (SDR) and the filesize is about the same for NON-HDR files. Well , that’s said , I’m afraid I’ll pass then , thanks.

        • DAHAKA says:

yeah, NTb used to rip 4k content with x264, but they moved to x265 later. and as a matter of fact file sizes decreased almost by half.

          • Amna says:

Speaking of file sizes , just compare the newer SHOUT “remaster” of Friday the 13th (for example 1984) – file size is twice as bigger , but the quality is awful : oversaturated reddish/purplish , added fake grain , etc. Sound is terrible , not punchy , muffled, overbassy . So it’s not always about the size. Original New Line Cinema are very good and only 15GB Remuxes.

Hi , I too think the same, as the previous orator . I own Titan X SSC , which I had bought in the early 2017 and it still kicks ass ! It beats the sh*t outta GTX1070 and the such , so why would I wanna replace it , esp. in this economy ? Still , we can’t watch this weird “HEVC” . I mean cool gaming cards … and these simple movies we can’t play , ridiculous. We would be very grateful if someone finds a good 4K H264 release.
            Thank you !

            C’mon , guys , it’s actually HEVC >8BIT< , so it is SUPPORTED , starting with GTX TITAN , it's NOT 10bit !!! It plays fine with a free program VLC , I'm on Windows Vista 64bit , no problems !
Dear author , please tell us , will other films be available ?
Like The Living Daylights 1987 , etc.

          • DAHAKA says:

sure. I’m busy with other uploads atm but I’ll add other films in future.
