Summary: Bilbo Baggins is swept into a quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor from the fearsome dragon Smaug. Approached out of the blue by the wizard Gandalf the Grey, Bilbo finds himself joining a company of thirteen dwarves led by the legendary warrior, Thorin Oakenshield. Their journey will take them into the Wild; through treacherous lands swarming with Goblins and Orcs, deadly Wargs and Giant Spiders, Shapeshifters and Sorcerers. Although their goal lies to the East and the wastelands of the Lonely Mountain first they must escape the goblin tunnels, where Bilbo meets the creature that will change his life forever … Gollum. Here, alone with Gollum, on the shores of an underground lake, the unassuming Bilbo Baggins not only discovers depths of guile and courage that surprise even him, he also gains possession of Gollum’s “precious” ring that holds unexpected and useful qualities … A simple, gold ring that is tied to the fate of all Middle-earth in ways Bilbo cannot begin to know.

Thanks so much! Also love the way you work with the links in a text file!!!

  2. Johnny says:

    Thanks for the DV links!
They play well using Plex and a 2019 Nvidia Shield Pro on a LG CX Oled tv, the Dolby Vision logo comes up.

    Thank you DORUKHAN ツ

  4. htfan says:

@Dorukhan, I see DV remuxes added… Does that mean full disc rips will not be posted for these? Side question, is Return of the King UHD disc rip also on the way? Thanks!

  5. wiapa says:

Dorukhan, non-DV links for An Unexpected Journey are for Theatrical, not for Extended Edition. Also, thank you for your awesome work.

Doru, Dahaka, if it’s not too much to ask, could we please also have The Desolation of Smaugh and The Battle of the Five Armies with DV by FraMeSToR? That would be fantastic. Thanks so much that you guys did that with LOTR.

I’ve downloaded The Hobbit An Unexpected Journey 2012… (69.4GB) and it’s not DV, it’s only HDR. Tested on LG OLED…

  8. goozchos says:

    Awesome, thanks.
Looks like from the text file that these are all Dolby Vision versions. Glad to see them released in DV.
Anyone know if these are single layer DV and playable on a Nvidia Shield 2019?

    • Peter J. says:

All the new stuff is single layer. Shield should work.

      • goozchos says:

        Awesome, thanks.

I tried with my Shield TV Pro and Plex and it displays the HDR logo and not DV on my LG C9. I checked the MediaInfo and I can see DV metadata on the file. I also checked the Shield’s settings and DV is enabled. Streaming DV works, as its displays the logo when watching Netflix.

What am I missing? Any help would be appreciated.

        • TayTay says:

Probably need to update Plex. Both your server AND the plex app on your Shield

          • wrath666 says:

Thanks, I updated them both to the latest version. The app shows UHD 4K HDR in the details and not DV. I played them all and its only in HDR and not DV

I got it to work on the Shield Pro 2019 and a C8. I set the resolution on the Shield to 4k 59.94Hz with HDR10 and Dolby Vision, and also made sure the DV toggle was on.
Some people had to put to the same settings but at 29.97Hz for it to work. Might have to play with that a little.

  9. jetroman says:

please post An Unexpected Journey without DV
DV version has alot of trouble and less compatibility than reguler remux without DV

  10. Kpoplover says:

Hello, and thank you so much!
Do you think we might see the full Blu-Ray disc images any time soon?

  11. Peter J. says:

    Thanks, Doru! First as always…

I noticed that FraMeSToR did their thing once again and released two versions of each movie. One with DV, and one without. Posted here as of right now is An Unexpected Journey with DV, The Desolation of Smaugh without DV, and The Battle of the Five Armies without DV.
